Kennedy's Kenne Bell Supercharged Mustang GT

The Dyno tells the tale! We recently installed a KB supercharger on the car belonging to our customers Bo and Melissa. We demonstrated that with a Kennedy's custom Kenne Bell supercharger we convincingly beat a factory supercharged Mustang SVT Cobra at a cost that is thousands of dollars less.
According to our customers, on the trip home "the car ran flawlessly! We put about 420 miles on the odometer through the hills of New York and western Penn. it never gave us a moments worry. Even in the steep mountain areas Missy never had to take it out of 5th. gear. I watched her pass a semi uphill in 5th without a struggle. I guess you can credit the wide torque curve for that. One last thing, on a good fuel run we would normally average about 21 mpg., Missy managed to average 25.3 mpg. for the entire trip. Once again thanks for making this a good experience." The blue graph represents a stock '03 Cobra we tested on our chassis dyno. It made 377 rear wheel horsepower and 371 ft.-lbs. of torque. The results of the KB install impressed even us. Bo and Melissa's KB car made 388 rear wheel horsepower and 427 ft.-lbs. of torque. The KB has a 3% horsepower advantage but the torque increase is over 15% with over 20% increase in area under the torque curve. Our testing has indicated that this is worth up to a full 1/2 second or more in the quarter mile and the immense off idle torque of the KB car makes it much more exciting to drive with vastly superior throttle response. So, the performance is better, but here's the "icing on the cake". A custom KB supercharger installation on a Mustang GT costs $6,300 including before and after dyno testing. Look at the cost comparison below. In addition to the lower purchase price, the GT may be up to 40% less expensive to insure, depending upon your location and carrier.
